We're grabbing a cup of coffee at the Campus Coffee Bean right by Northern Arizona University. I used to spend many afternoons here in 2000 when I was going to college at #NAU . This place used to be a lot more popular, but it has been pretty dead the last few times we've been in. Everyone seems to go to #Macy 's down on Beaver Street these days. Can't say I blame them, that's a pretty sweet venue and this place is kind of stuffy. Maybe it's the off season for students or something. #Coffee
Checked out the Flagstaff #Arboretum about 4 miles down a dusty road off of Route 66. Not much to see there. Some sad looking gardens. The only stuff that grows up here are Pine trees and grass. Honestly, the grass doesn't look so good, and the Ponderosa pines are pretty scraggly.
Took off after work Friday night and headed to beautiful #Flagstaff Arizona with the girlfriend. It's about 75 degrees and sunny, and makes for a nice getaway from the Las Vegas heat. Stayed Friday night and headed down to Sedona/Oak Creek Canyon bright and early Saturday morning. Took a nice drive through the canyon and we are back in Flagstaff this afternoon, visiting local book stores and coffee shops. Headed back to vegas tomorrow sometime.
I loved #PhpStorm so much during the trial, that I ran out and purchased the $99 personal license. I was sick of the ever-buggy Eclipse/PDT, as well as #ZendStudio 9. Once I tried #Netbeans , however, I was instantly hooked, and I immediately regretted blowing my 99 bucks. PhpStorm is a little buggy itself, Netbeans: rock solid. Both run on Java. I liked the file mapping and PHPDocumentor support for PhpStorm better, but everything else about Netbeans (hotkey mapping, stability, interface) wins.
I've been developing #PHP for about 7 years now, and have used just about every editor/IDE out there: Eclipse with PDT, Zend Studio, PHPStorm, Netbeans, gEdit with plugins, Geany. I've even hacked in vim and notepad, and yes, even Dreamweaver. I generally do all of my #LAMP development on a Linux destop machine. Currently I'm rocking Kubuntu 12.04 LTS. So, what IDE do I prefer these days? #Netbeans ! It truly is the best, most well-rounded, stable IDE I have encountered in recent years.
Good thing most people playing #Diablo3 weren't alive yet for the last two games. The rehash of characters and music is less reminiscent than it is Michael Bay.
Looks like the American #Diablo3#battlenet servers are back up. I'm getting blurry eyed after a few hours on the European servers with my new Barbarian. Up to level 11. I think I'll bow out for the night and go back to the monk on american servers tomorrow. It's nice to have two halfway decent starter characters I suppose, in case the dreaded #error3003 continues to be an issue.
Blizzard: Americas region service update at: http://bit.ly/KeoqdB Service expected to return by 11:45 p.m. PDT as we work to resolve these issues.
I'm already a lvl 7 barbarian on the European servers!
I must get my fix while the Americans figure it out!!!
#Diablo3
Definitely some copy-paste action going on with #Diablo3 sound files. I recognize a lot of the music and sound effects from #Diablo2 haha. Not that I mind, they were good sounds! Hearing some of the squeaks and roars that monsters make takes me back a few years.
I may feel a bit silly wearing my Leather Pants of the Lion while fighting Savage Beasts, but at least I'm past the beta levels, into new, previously undiscovered territory. Now, I've just got to catch up to all these little punks beating #Diablo3 in 12 hours or less haha.
No dreaded #error37 for me today. Got in and just knocked off the Skeleton King. I think now I'm onto some parts of #Diablo3 I haven't seen before! So far, I'm enjoying the play.
I'm right there with you, presuming we can get in. I've heard murmurs of the servers being up and down all day. I imagine when I land at home around 5:15 p.m. that they'll be all but toasted to a crisp.
I'd like to get past the stuff I've already seen in the beta. Hopefully there's lots of cools quests to come!
#diablo3
Okay, I can stop bitching (fat chance). Got into #Diablo3 for a bit this morning. Either #Blizzard figured out their server problem, or all the late-night lucky ones crashed out by 6:30. Rocking the monk and running through the stuff I've already seen in beta. Hopefully, tonight, I'll get through the first act and see something new. As long as the dreaded #error37 doesn't show its ugly face again.
10 years waiting for #Diablo3 .
It's 12:01-fucking-a.m. on May 15th and I'm stuck on "The servers are busy at this time. Please try again later (Error 37)".
Are you fucking kidding me #Blizzard ? Are you telling me that you didn't consider that your fan base was so die-hard as to wait 10 fucking years for this game that your battle.net servers would be swamped, and you didn't think to throw a fuckload of them up for this release? #Seriously ?

OK, so I'm not going to get my action fix with this L.A. Noire game...save for the occasional shootout, but after a few more cases I have to admit it sucks you in. I've learned I'm not very good at questioning witnesses. Definitely a good looking game. The facial expressions are very detailed and realistic, that's for sure. Still, I can't tell who's lying unless they have that look like they're about the pee.
